Happy Birthday Pasadena | Why we love the city of Roses

Incorporated on June 19,1886.

Pasadena, California offers an ideal environment for business success – it is family friendly- and has something for everyone. Its central location, convenient public transit options, high-tech infrastructure, entertainment production locations and other world-class amenities are why we at BHHS Golden Properties have always called it home. As we approach the 132nd Anniversary of the fourth city to be incorporated in Los Angeles, we reflect on all it has to offer.Sako Hamparsomian, broker associate and a 45 year resident of the city says , For me it’s the mountains.

I’m drawn to our mountains and our geography, not only does Pasadena have shopping, stores and your community but we’re only about an hour away from the beach, it’s an hour away to the mountains, and it’s an hour away to the desert.
It offers everything. Our agents say their clients love living in either busy city-like urban living near Old Town Pasadena, or quiet more mountainous areas. Still central to whether you work in Downtown Los Angeles, Orange County, or the Inland Empire. It’s a central hub.
Sako says “It’s got the old charm with the new, it has a lot of history.” Many of it’s infrastructure was built decades ago and remains the same charm, with the addition of newer homes.
While once a year the while world tunes into the City of Pasadena to watch the Tournament of Roses Parade and Rose Bowl game, its residents and visitors enjoy the Rose Bowl, access to tours of the Tournament House year long, and an up close look at watching the Tournament of Roses come together. To end with some fun trivia, we even have a SONG by the beach boys talking about Pasadena!
