The past weeks have shone a spotlight once again, on the injustices in our society. As we work to process the senseless and tragic deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and countless others, we want to send a message directly to you. We believe discrimination is the greatest threat to our communities which are built on belonging and acceptance.
We stand in solidarity with our colleagues, staff, and communities who are voicing their deep frustration with systems in need of real change. Black Lives Matter is the civil rights movement of our time, because it addresses a fundamental inequality in our society: that Black lives are too often undervalued.
Collectively we have a lot of work to do to fulfill our nation’s promise of equality. We each to play a role in fulfilling this promise. Like many small businesses, we know we do not have all the answers, but we do know that we must support our Black Communities.
At BHHS Golden Properties, we unequivocally believe that Black Lives Matter and we reject hate, discrimination, and racism. Our team members are leaders in our communities, and we know it is critical that we continue to provide the opportunity of home ownership fairly and without bias.
We are hopeful that we can all leverage our collective positions in the real estate industry to lead with empathy, compassion, and resolve. Our network is joined together in our search to understand the complex issues that surround this critical time in our nation’s history, it is more important now than ever before that we join together in uplifting and enriching an industry which is welcoming, supportive and inclusive.
