Talk to anyone who works long hours at a desk and they’ll tell you by the end of the work week they’re in need need of a massage or alignment.
The hardworking crew here at BHHS Golden Properties did their research and jumped on the safe workstation tool and here is what some of the real estate agent’s/staff desks look like.
According to UCLA Ergonomics , the average person working at a keyboard can perform up to 200,000 strokes a day. Sounds like a lot? Well this repetitive movement can mess with the balance of muscles, tendons, and ligaments in the hand.
It’s not just the desk. Any repetitive movement like slouching all day and looking down at the computer or holding the office phone all on your neck, can cause a disturbance in nerves, cause tightness, or pain.
To combat that slouching some agents go back and forth from standing at their desk to sitting on a chair that encourages core strength.
Agents say the standing allows them to keep their energy up and give their clients their best.
