1- Why did you decide to work in real estate?
I have always had a passion to serve my community. The purchase of a home is one of the largest commitments one will endure. What better way to serve the community than to help ensure my clients dreams and goals are achieved. Personally, home ownership has been one of the biggest blessings and accomplishments in my life. Through the process of purchasing, renovating and selling my home, a desire grew to recreate the success for others. When I see my clients filled with joy and happiness because all of their expectations have been exceeded, it brings me back to my first home purchase and reminds me why I love what I do.
2- Have you created a daily routine for yourself?
The thing about real estate is that work never stops. The life of a Realtor offers a flexible schedule, however, it comes with a heavy cost. My day starts at 6am every morning and ends around 10pm. Between managing my family life, I take every opportunity available to build relationships with those around me. I have created standard time blocks where I make follow up phone calls, market to my sphere of influence, build marketing plans, assist current clientele, etc. Nevertheless, the challenge is understanding that every moment, every single interaction is an opportunity to serve a potential client. For example, I may be at dinner with my spouse, my phone rings or I engage in conversation with a potential client and my sole focus becomes the client’s needs. The fact is, that in order to be successful at my job, I’ve made myself available to serve my client 24/7.
3- What has it been like to represent clients, and has it been sellers or buyers or both? Describe the experience with the clients.
The process of working with my clients have been the most rewarding part of the job. It’s the lasting relationships built that continue to spark my interest within the industry. I’ve had the opportunity to work with both buyers and sellers. They both provide their own specific obstacles, but the goal remains the same, complete customer satisfaction. Every client has their own set of expectations. I strive to create a positive culture by listening to the individual needs of my clients, ensuring I exceed expectations and communicate to keep my clients expectations realistic.
4- How do you market your listings?
The corner stone of marketing listings is the MLS. Additionally, I have created social media sites dedicated to Real Estate. Marketing videos, listing blogs and open house invites are a few of the communications I have used on social media to market my listings. Furthermore, I have created property flyers for distribution through direct marketing. I look forward to seeing the evolution of my marketing as I gain experience.
5- What has been your favorite part of the Golden Office and working in real estate?
