The Power of Mentoring Relationships in Real Estate

Aida Dimejian is the office manager at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Golden Properties. In this week’s manager’s corner she speaks of the importance of mentorship.

In her nearly 30 years in the  Real Estate field, Aida says “The way you learn this business is by having somebody next your side and going through the transaction process with you from A-Z. I’ve found that the one-on-one mentoring works the best.”

A mentor can give you encouragement, exposure and visibility, networking, and coaching. They can help you with a specific or ongoing challenges that you may be facing in your current role.

So, let’s talk about how  mentoring works at the BHHS Golden Properties Office.

Aida works with both new and seasoned agents. Either she or the office broker will guide agents through all steps of the real estate transaction.

Aida holds weekly meetings for new agents and meets one-on-one with new or seasoned agents.

No two transactions are the same she says. “I’ve been doing this for 28 years and I find that each transaction is different from the other.

This is not a cookie cutter business, with every client you could have a different issues you’ve never had before.

Currently,  the BHHS Golden Office is running a 16 week Buffini and Company training program. This focuses on the referral system and network building.

Aida customizes the mentoring, training or assisting to every agent’s needs and wants.
